Here is what Main Line Today has to say about their 2012 winner of Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs. "Dining with a Mission - Black Cat Café: The food at the Black Cat is good - really good. And it somehow tastes even better with the knowledge that every dime goes toward PALS pet rescue. Owned and operated by the nonprofit, the café turns out some of the best sandwiches, salads and desserts around, while helping countless abandoned and homeless animals find new homes. Culinary chops and a charitable streak - a winning combo, indeed."
Welcome to the Main Line's most innovative gourmet spot - The Black Cat Café - a French style café with a mission. A meal with us insures that you will have an enjoyable dining experience and also save a pet in the process. Formerly Taste of Britain, the Black Cat Café is owned and operated by PALS, a 501c3 pet rescue, for the sole purpose of saving homeless pets by serving first class handcrafted and homemade food in a cozy and delightful atmosphere. Great food, low prices, tax free dining and saving pets at the same time - what more could you want?
Our focus is on quality homemade food, prepared on the premises by our certified and seasoned staff. Either take-out or in-house, we feature great salads, sandwiches, soups and quiches, luscious desserts and homemade baked goods, such as scones and cinnamon rolls. Or enjoy a cup of espresso or cappuccino with free wifi.
